During the first half of 1940s, he began conducting training sessions for professional fighters and police personnel in the art of self defense, and other sports like swimming and wrestling. From 1948 to 1964, he served as Chief Instructor at the Israel Defense Force School of Combat Fitness. After his retirement, he spent his life in creating a modified form of the art to suit everyone.
